Books
Most solitary Wiccans today have to learn the Craft and Religion of Old by books and websites because there is a lacking of teachers, covens, and facilities to learn in some places. So this a list of some of the best books around, and I really hope I don't get sued for advertising them like this! :) (My notes are in brackets like this.)

List of books
*Angeles, Ly De "Witchcraft: Theory and Practice" (A WONDERFUL book, absolutly WONDERFUL. Highly interesting, very good. Moves at a great pace and explains a lot.)

*Cabot, Laurie (with) Cowan, Tom "Power of the Witch: The Earth, The Moon, And The Magical Path to Enlightenment" (I loved this book, a wonderful section in history and it gets very personal. A must!)

* Cunningham, Scott "Wicca: A Guide For the Solitary Practitioner" (Wonderful book, very organized, very well informed)

*Curott, Phyllis: "Book of Shadows" (I loved it! A story with information trailing in it. I learned a lot.)

*Fitch, Ed "A Grimoire of Shadows" (I haven't finished it yet, I'll write about it when I do!)

*Hall, Judy "The Illustrated Guide to Divination: A practical Guide to Predicting the Future" (This was great on learning different divination techniques. I would recommened it if you are interested in that field.)

*Holland, Eileen: "The Wicca Handbook" (I have a grudge to this book because you can get all of the same information from www.open-sesame.com or www.#open-sesame. You should go to the site before you consider bying the hardcopy. You could just print it out.)

*Jay, Roni: "Book of Goddesses" (Beautiful pictures, some good spells, great information)

*Monaghan, Patricia: "The Goddess Path" (Full of myths, invocations, and information about seperate Goddesses)

*Ravenwolf, Silver: "Teen Witch" (I didn't like this book to much, but some people find it very useful. It moves quickly, but it's full of spells. Read something before this so you have more practice before attempting some of these spells.

*Ravenwolf, Silver: "To Ride a Silver Broomstick" (I don't know WHY I'm recommending this, but again, some people found it useful. It moves very slow, and it's very long. You have to really want to tough it out. But it has some good exercises in it.)

*Starhawk: "The Spiral Dance" (Wonderfully done, it's a great book for a new Wiccan.)

*Stone, Merlin: "When God Was a Woman" (A historical Goddess veiw, well done, very well researched.)

Book Research
The thing about book learning, you can't take just one veiw. I recommend reading as much as you can before attempting spells, and to work hard. You may condier dedicating yourself, but try to follow the traditional year and a day of study.
